Well, my time here in Rexburg, Idaho is coming to a close. Less then four weeks and I will be back in Washington! I can't wait. These last couple of weeks Rexburg has been getting better though, there will be some things that I will truly miss. My intramural volleyball season ended this past week. Our team never won a game, but I made a ton on new friends and there were times that I had a lot of fun.
My classes have been going great, they are hard but I am learning a lot of interesting things. One of my favorites is child development it is interesting to see how different circumstances have different results in how we turn out. I also am taking a class on Pakistan, lets just say after that class I realized how proud I am to be an American. I am currently and education major, but I might switch that. There is just way to many important decisions to make when you are a college student, but that is part of growing up!
This week I also figured out how cheap Winco is! It is awesome, a couple of friends and I went to Idaho Falls to grocery shopping, and everything was much cheaper there, it was way worth the trip. We also went to a hamburger place call Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Their hamburgers were amazing, one of the best I ever had. It was also fun just to drive and sing as loud as you can.
This weekend I am going home! YAY!! I can't wait, I love going home. I can't wait to see my family and friends. Everything is better at home. I don't have to clean up after 5 other adults, I am with the best people on earth and It is just better!
Well this blog was very random, I just wanted to update everyone and let them know what was going on in my life. Have a great week everyone!

Home!
It's memorial day weekend so I am heading home to Washington, I can't wait to get there. Since I'm going home I decided to make a list of all the things I miss/love about home.
1. My Family- I miss my family the most, my parents, my siblings, my grandparents, and the rest of the family out in washington.
2. My Friends- I miss my friends Karmen, and DJ so much they are amazing!
3. My moms cooking- once you are at college you start to miss your mom's cooking, especially my mom, because she is the best cook in the world. I would do anything for her rolls or delicious pie right now!
4. My house- Even though I live in an apartment, nothing beats the comfort of home, there is just something nice about a living room with big, comfy couches, and a nice carpet, and also a nice big kitchen stocked with food :)
5. Having money- It seems that ever since I went to college I am awfully poor ALL THE TIME.. I hate this feeling, and I can't to go home and get a job.
6. High School Sports- I miss this so much! I loved the rivalry's and getting dressed up all crazy, and most of all I miss my high school volleyball team.
7. My home ward- I just loved going to church out in the Basin City, everyone is so strong there and such good people, there is just something missing here.
8. The endless miles of green fields- Even though here in Idaho there is plenty of fields, nothing seems green yet. Everything is dead from the cold winter.
9. The sun- I never see the sun here, I just want to see the sun and get a tan, I have never been this white in my life.
10. AWasher and Dryer- I have never realized the blessing of a washer and dryer right in your house, I hate walking down to the laundry room and having to pay to wash your clothes, and the washers here suck :(
These are just ten things that I really miss from home, there are a lot more but I could go on for days about the things I miss from the simple life in Mesa, Washington. Maybe someday I can make a list of what I love about Rexburg haha.
I can't wait to be home and see you all. Love, Alison

Volleyball
So here at BYU-I they don't have college sports so they have a huge intramural program. Since I love volleyball I decided to play this semester. I'm not trying to complain but there are many things that I can't stand about this program, that I just have to get off my chest.
First of all, the coaches. The coaches are other students, the girl's teams have mostly guy coaches and the guy's teams have mostly girl coaches. This would be all fine with me, except for it comes down to whoever can flirt the best gets the most playing time. This is totally unfair, and I think it is wrong.
The second problem I have with it is they don't cut ANYONE. I understand it's hard to cut people, because you don't want to hurt their feelings, but how is a team supposed to get better if some of the players only volleyball experience has been church ball? This is very frustrating, but I try to have a good attitude, and try and help my teammate that isn't doing so well.
Even though this experience is hard, its fun to be playing again. I play on the spartans with the same color of green uniform we I had in junior high. I also get to play with my friend, Blaire Wells, who I graduated with and have played volleyball with since 7th grade. We lost our game yesterday 3-1, but we are definately improving.

Yep, I'm Starting a BLOG!!!
So, I have no idea why but I have decided to start a blog. Being a college student I have a lot of time to think and I need to get some of these things down on paper, or internet. I don't plan on having millions of followers, or being in the next movie about a blogger. I just want something to do with my spare time. I have been reading many blogs and I've noticed that most of them have some sort of theme. I guess my theme will be the life of a young adult college girl, not really exciting, but maybe some day it will go somewhere. Who knows? But this is my blog! - Alison
